My Jamaican crime trilogy: Murder in Montego Bay, Murder Under The Palms, and Murder At Sugar Rush Beach follow the crime-solving lives of Detectives Raythan Preddy and Scotsman Sean Harris, with fellow Detectives Javinia Spence and Kathryn Rabino completing the Pelican Walk team. A clash of cultures and policing methods hamper every murder case.

Watch Her Run is a standalone thriller set in various states in the USA, and is the only book I’ve written that takes the reader outside of England or Jamaica.

Having won the Comedy Women in Print Short Story Prize, my story Sorry, Delivery was included in The Book of Witty Women published by Farrago…and I have a lovely trophy to prove it!

I was fortunate enough that my short story Two Sharp Knives was selected by editor Martin Edwards for inclusion in Beyond & Within: Midsummer Mysteries published by Flame Tree Press.

My latest book is my first work of historical fiction with a dose of magical realism. The Case of the Mad Doctor, set in 1772 Jamaica and Bristol, is inspired by the true story of the Caribbean’s first serial killer and includes Jamaican folklore.

The hero, law clerk Isaiah Ollenu, and his colleague Ruben Ashby, will return next year in a currently untitled mystery set in Bristol, England, 1773.
